The Game

Okay so, I think that these story topics are really nice and helpful for explaining things that happen outside of the roleplay that actually have some effect on the roleplay itself. Still, I'm pretty bad at being consistant with updates, and with school and all...

...the point is, this whole story is rather long, but I don't trust myself to be able to make it all the way to the end. Basically what happens is: A boy wakes up and finds himself in a town that is mostly empty. Any people he encounters try to kill him, but he isn't sure why. He is able to survive for a while by himself before encountering a martial artist who calls himself "Martin the Great" who saves his life. Martin explains to him that they are in a sort of game where people fight for the chance to be brought back to life.

The boy realises that he is actually dead, and his feelings about killing the other competitors changes. After some time the boy notices that Martin seems troubled by something. Martin explains to him that everyone they've fought has only had themself in mind. The boyn believing that the whole point of the game is to come back to life, doesn't see any problem with that. Later, he learns that upon winning the game, you are given the chance to return any one person to life. He also learns that if Martin wins he will bring his wife, Emily, back to life instead of himself.

The boy thinks about how he has only been fighting for himself and decides that Martin deserves to win more than he does. In an attempt to help Martin win, the boy shields Martin from a fatal attack and inadvertantly wins the game. He finds himself in a white room where he is confronted by a strange voice. The voice explains to him that the requirement to win this game was to sacrifice oneself. The boy is confused, but the voice tells him that the rules are chosen by the previous victor.

In the previous game, it was uncertain whether or not Martin should be allowed to participate, though the reason is unknown. The game is won through a series of rule-breaking and the offending players are terminated, leaving Martin as the last player alive and therefore the winner. He is bugged by the selfishness of the competitors and accidently makes self-sacrifice the objective of the game.

The boy knows now that there is only one thing he can do. He requests that Martin's wife be brought back to life. The voice questions this decision. Prior to now, the boy had only wanted to get brought back to life. He had no reason why he deserved a second chance more than she did. Thus, the boy slowly fades away, along with the town and all the remaining players of the game.

Emily wakes up on the floor of a seemingly abandoned building, not entirely sure where she is or what happened.

Also, I don't think either Martin or Emily was explained at any point prior to this, but Martin the Great was on of the Twelve and was the first of them to be killed by Gustav. The second was Luther, then Cassandra, then Florence (kind of).

Ikr, most of it doesn't, only two characters. Martin is one of the Twelve, but he's dead so he doesn't matter. Also Emily, who was never mentioned in rp but happens to be

Yep. And she was his wife so...she cheated on him. Probably.

Probably. Unless Martin became a mortal, like Cassandra did. Still, it's implied he was a Reaper when he died.

Still, Daniel's dad could be anyone.

I was going to ask that.

Yeah.

Who is his dad?

I dunno. Whoever he is he died when Daniel was a small child, so he isn't around anymore.

I haven't put much thought into it. Anyways, for now let's all just assume that his father is Martin.
