The War

Arianna didn't know his history.

Joshua was the oldest Reaper still alive, and thus, he had a long history.

Arianna was a seven year old. She had just out-technologied him.

Joshua didn't like to talk about how old he was. When he was alive, none of this technology existed.

Arianna offered to explain.

Joshua was willing to listen.

Arianna explained in ways he would understand. She was very unlike Dark.

He understood.

"Is that a good explanation?"

Joshua nodded.

"Okay." She smiled. "Do you wanna see my room?"

"Sure."

She opened the door to her room. It was pretty and had lots of mechanical stuff.

Joshua walked in and looked at all the neat stuff.

On a stage like place, was an unfinished robot dog.

He stared at it for a while. "What's this?"

"That's Kemie. He's a mechanical dog I'm working on." Kemie looked at Joshua and gave a metallic bark.

Joshua looked at the dog.

Kermie barked again. "I have to figure out how to wire his legs."

Joshua wondered why the dog kept barking at him.

"He's saying hello."

"Oh." Joshua said. He said hello to the robot dog.

The dog gave a smile. Arianna walked over to her tools.

Joshua petted the dog.

He gave a happy bark and wagged his tail.
