The War

While waiting for him, Sage felt blinder than ever.

Joshua returned to Sage after he had finished checking on the egg.

She wondered where to sleep.

OOC: I've been wondering, did the Reapers ever actually get rooms, or do they just sleep on the floor?

OOC: Reapers that Dark liked got rooms.

OOC: So, would that include Joshua?

OOC: Yes. List: Joshua, Florence, Diane, Martin, all of them except for Damien.

OOC: Lol.

IC: Joshua led Sage to his room.

Sage was led.

Joshua let Sage have the bed.

She insisted he take it.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I'll just wander, I haven't slept for decades."

"Isn't it dangerous to wander alone at night?"

"Not usually. I'll stay in the lower city, and I'll tie this ribbon" She tied a long red ribbon to her ankle "so you can find me later."

"Alright." Joshua said. "Just be careful."

She nodded and strode down the tunnel to be boat docks.

Joshua hoped she'd be okay.

In the morning she was still gone.

Joshua awoke from a rather unusual nightmare to find that Sage was still gone. He wondered where or not he should go look for her.

She probably couldn't make it back.

Joshua headed out to the lower city to go search for her.

It was still early and people were asleep.

Joshua noticed that there weren't many people out. He figured this was a good thing, because it would be harder to find someone in a crowd.

He saw an edge of the ribbon.
