Cyborgs and the Mafia

Joseph stepped out of the cab and into his apartment. The door wasn't locked, though he would have been more surprised if it was. Anything of importance that he owned either wasn't here or was locked up tight. He began packing for the trip.

Magdeluna looked around his apartment. "It's a mess."

"Maybe it is. What of it?" Joseph asked.

"You need to clean it up." She looked at his pictures. "Who's that?" She pointed to a person.

"No one of importance." Joseph replied. "Do we really have time for this?"

"Are you done?"

"Yeah."

"Then we have to get to the airport."

Joseph grabbed his luggage. "Alright then, let's get going."

She hailed a cab, who proceeded to take them to the airport.

Joseph sat in silence for the duration of the cab ride.

The cab driver dropped them off and Magdeluna paid him.

Joseph looked around. They were definitely at an airport. Or at least, he assumed they were. He had never actually been to an airport before.

"Our tickets have already been paid for. We just need to get through. We have government clearance and stuff. First class."

"Alright." Joseph said. He figured he was would just follow her lead.

They got through relatively quickly when Magdeluna flashed her badge at the officers. "Where's your badge."

Badge? Joseph was confused. He didn't know that badges were necessary.

They were very necessary.

Joseph checked for his badge. I have to have one around here somewhere...

"Just- just borrow mine. We can file for a new one for you later."

"Thanks" Joseph said. He was sure that he had one around here somewhere, but it was possible that he had lost it.
