Well, maybe. They are named after two legendary Japanese swordsmiths. Supposedly one of them was good and one of the was evil.

Arkos let go of the sword in his hand. It vanished in a cloud of white light. He got the feeling that if he needed it again he could summon it, so it was pointless to carry it around everywhere.

He figured he might as well go see if anything odd was going on with the rest of the city, but when he tried to leave the park something stopped him. It was like a giant barrier. He couldn't see it, but he couldn't walk through it either. It felt like a wall, but in a way it seemed different.

He swung at it with his fist, but to no avail. The force field was not affected by his attack at all. He tried to push it, hoping that at least he would be able to push through. His hands started to sink into it and then a large burst of electricity shot forth from it, sending him flying backwards.

He sat up. What was that? He asked himself. It seemed like it was about to give, and then... He noticed that he was undamaged by the blast, and he wondered whether or not it was really electricity that had struck him.

"Haven't you realized it yet? They can't let you leave. They have to keep you on a leash."

Arkos looked behind him to see a figure in a black cloak, similar to the one from before.

"What are you doing here? Are you going to try to kill me too?!?"

"If that's what it takes."

Arkos leaped to his feet and faced his new opponent. Masamune appeared in his hand as if on cue.

"I see. So they gave you the blade of Light."

"What of it?"

"Do you fail to grasp what is going on? They're using you! Soon you'll be nothing more than a puppet of the Light. That blade you hold is proof. It means they've chosen you as a vessel."

"Shut up! You have no idea what you're talking about!"

"What makes you so sure?" A demonic blade appeared in the figure's hand. It seemed familiar to Arkos.

Muramasa! "Who are you?"

The figure removed their hood, revealing a familiar face.

"You! He told me you'd be coming here. And now you're trying to sway me with your lies! I'll never join the Darkness, even if that means I have to destroy you!"

"Foolish brother. I suppose some people just never learn."

Arkos charged at his brother, swinging for his neck, but the attack was easily blocked and Arkos was knocked back.

"You were the one who talked about strength of heart, about not being controlled. Why? Why would you let them do this to you?"

"You're wrong!" Arkos shouted at him. "I'm not like you! You're a monster, a creature of the Darkness!"

Arkos attacked again, only to be blocked once more.

"There you go, acting all superficial. What makes you think that you're any better than me? Just because I succumbed to Darkness does not make Light any better. The only difference between us is the side we chose."

Arkos gripped his blade tightly. How come I can't land a hit on him? If our blades are evenly matched then how is he able to block my attacks so effortlessly?

"I suppose another difference would be that I was strong enough to break free. You, on the other hand, are a worthless puppet."

His brother swung his blade diagonally and knock Masamune from Arkos' hands. He pointed the tip of Muramasa at his face.

"If you refuse to fight them, then I have no choice but to put an end to you."

Arkos knew that it was over. His brother, who followed Darkness, had defeated him so easily. How could he have ever stood a chance? Suddenly, there was a surge of energy within him. It was an indescribable sensation. He could feel an immense amount of Light inside of himself. It started to take control.

His hand shot out and gripped the blade of Muramasa so tightly that his hand began to bleed. It a single movement he wrenched the blade from his brother's hand and tossed it aside. He lashed out at his brother's face. The blow seemed to daze him. Next he struck him in the gut and shoved him backwards.

Arkos had no idea what he was doing. He could have sworn he heard something crack with the second hit, but he couldn't stop himself. Masamune appeared in his hands and he walked over to his brother, who had stumbled backwards and fallen over.

"Yes! Kill him!"

Arkos recognized the voice. It was the one who had granted him this very power. He looked down at his brother. If I kill him, I'll just succumb to the Light. He was right, I've become a puppet. The energy began to fade. Arkos dropped Masamune.

"What are you doing? Kill him! He is the embodiment of everything you hate. End his life now or I will!"

"No. I won't do it."

"Then you leave me little choice." A sword appeared in the so-called Angel's hand and he raised it, preparing to strike down Arkos' brother once and for all. Arkos felt the anger within him growing. All his life he had thought Light was the correct path, that it was superior. But now, this man was going to kill his brother because Arkos had chosen the Light. It was so stupid. Why couldn't the Light just be good? Why couldn't things be as simple as when he was a kid.

Without any idea what he was doing he fired a blast of energy at the man, a blast of pitch black Darkness.
