The War

Daniel looked at the dagger. Edmund picked up Florence's staff. He looked at Scott and Emily.

"You commin'?"

Scott nodded. Emily didn't seem interested.

"Watch Arianna then."

"Okay."

Arianna was in her room.

Emily went to go watch her.

The 4 left to fight.

When they arrived Damien was fighting Gustav. He was using a weapon that was basically a sickle attached to a pole by a chain. "Oh Scheisse, not you guys again."

"I thought we agreed not to lie to each other." Dark said innocently.

"What are you talking about?" Damien asked as he barely dodged a blow from Gustav's sword.

"Don't you recodnise me? You know, 13 years ago?"

"Of course. You're the crazy little girl who kept trying to kill me. How's your cynical brother doing these days?"

"He died in the war. I have a kid. I'm here to kill you and you're crazy friend."

"Friend? This b*st*rd used me to kill the other Reapers so he could take all the glory!" Damien obviously wasn't too friendly with Gustav anymore.

Gustav looked at Dark and company. "Hello again my friends. As usual your timing is impeccable." There was was the sound of a sword tearing through flesh. Damien looked down to see the blade of Gustav's sword stabbing through him. He looked up at Dark with a look of hatred as he died.

"hi!" Dark waved happily. "I hate both of you!"

Gustav pulled his blade out of Damien. There was a loud rumbling noise. "Well, it would appear that you are too late if you had planned to stop me." A rift opened in the air and expanded until it took up almost half of the room. It became a giant red-orange gate made of runes and symbols.

Dark had no idea what to do.

The runes flashed and the gate vanished, leaving in it's wake a rift through time and space that seemed to lead directly into a pit of fire and lava.

Scott looked at the pit and then at Gustav.

Gustav began to laugh evilly.

Dark thought it looked fun to swim in fire. But Dark was insane.

Edmund looked at Dark. "You do realize that that's Hell, right? If you tried to swim in that fire..."

Gustav looked at the four kids who had come to fight him. He almost immediately noticed Daniel in the back, holding Soul's Bane. He turned into slime and in an instant he was right beside Daniel. Daniel stabbed the dagger into him, but nothing happened. "It's too bad your weapons don't work anymore now that the gates are all open." Gustav chuckled. He then punched Daniel really hard in the stomach.

Dark snarled. "Too bad you never foresaw that 'Experiment Omega' would eventually lead to your demise."

Gustav kneed Daniel in the face before turning to Dark. "Is that so?"

Edmund wondered if Dark would actually be able to defeat Gustav.

Dark kept up a false expression. Years of faking her emotions made it impossible to see though. "I'm scared."

Scott snuck away while Gustav was distracted. He made his way to Damien's corpse and took the odd looking weapon.

"You should be. But not scared of me," Gustav said. "Before long, demons will realize that the gate is wide open and make their way into this world, destroying all that stands before them."
