The War

Dark gave him an unsexpected metal-stilleto heel to the face. He was bleeding.

OOC: Stilleto heels are basically knife sharp heels attached to shoes.

OOC: Okay. cool.

IC: Gustav felt the blood run down his face. How is that possible? She shouldn't have been able to wound me with a pathetic sneak attack like that! Gustav kept his same expression all the while. He didn't look angry or shocked at all. Suddenly, Soul's Bane was in his hand. He swung for Dark's throat.

Dark ducked. "Nice try. So predictable, old man." Dark's ears told the others to close the portal.

Daniel couldn't close the portal because he was unconscious and Gustav had Soul's Bane.

Florence was still asleep, so there was no chance of him helping either.

Scott was trying to figure out how to use the weird weapon.

Gustav swung at Dark again. This time he followed up his first swing with a quick slash from his sword.

Dark blocked with her staff. "How inexperienced do you think I am? I'm not fourteen anymore." Dark taunted.

"Then perhaps you should start acting like it." Gustav replied. He lunged at her with the dagger.

Dark parried and gave a strong kick to the stomach. "Why? That's no fun." She gave a friendly smile.

"Are you guys going to chat or fight?" Edmund asked.

"Keep out of this, Reaper." Gustav spat. He looked back at Dark and took a defensive stance.

Dark took note. 'He hasn't changed at all.' Dark took a loose stance, yawning a little.

Gustav looked at Dark, wondering if she was planning to attack.

Scott thought he was starting to figure out the weird flail, but he wasn't too sure.

Dark appeared as she was waiting for him to make the first move. Instead, she feigned left, feigned right, and went up. She grabbed Gustav's sword and split him into two.

Being split in two didn't really seem to affect Gustav. He thrust Soul's bane into Dark's stomach. From this close, it would be difficult to dodge.

Dark teleported.

OOC: The ability was unlocked when Dark was 23.

Gustav looked around for Dark. Where could she have gone?

Dark's grin appeared in front of his eyes. "I'm not 14 anymore, 'Stavvy."

Gustav lashed out at her with his sword repeatedly.

Dark wasn't in the material plain. Dark was inside his brain. Dark was a poet and she didn't even know it. Nothing he could do could hurt her.

Gustav was confused. Suddenly he felt a hook dig into his back as Scott finally decided to do something useful sneak attacked him with the flail.

Dark forced her will unto Gustav, teleporting out of his mind. His vision swan with nonsense and he felt his strength draining as insanity leeched his life forces.

Gustav slowly found himself going insane. He stumbled a little. Edmund figured it would be easy to push him through the portal like this.

In the midst of chaos, he saw Dark's eyes. His body went limp as he lost control of his motor functions. Dark had used this deadly ability many times.

Daniel was beginning to wake up. He noticed something odd was going on with Gustav, also, the fire was beginning to expand.

Dark hoped the boys would do something about that. Absentmindedly, she began to sing the haunting tune when she was nervous. It was a very eerie tune.

OOC: Ring around the rosy. Only very high-pitched.

Daniel walked over to Gustav. He kicked him slightly before trying to take Soul's bane.

At first Gustav just lay there, almost as if he were dead, but the second Daniel touched the dagger Gustav's eyes shot open and he knocked Daniel's legs out from under him and knocked him towards the portal.

Daniel fell backwards and suddenly noticed the ground had disappeared beneath his upper body. He looked down to see that he was about to fall into the very fires of Hell.

Dark grabbed Daniel's arm. She sent a mental blow to Gustav's brain that (albeit temporarily) shattered his mind.
